VAUDE uses renewable raw materials of vegetable or animal origin to manufacture this product. This saves fossil raw materials. For further details see care label in the product.
The natural fibre Tencel is obtained from sustainably produced wood and therefore conserves our resources. The wood used for this purpose has been certified with the European PEFC (Program of the Endorsement of Forest Certifications Schemes) and the international FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) seal of quality. The high wearing comfort results from a silky-smooth surface that quickly transports moisture away from the body and as a result inhibits bacterial growth. No additional finishing chemicals are required to ensure the high functionality.
Bluesign is the world's strictest standard for environmental protection, consumer protection and occupational safety. All environmentally relevant production aspects are critically examined and permanently optimized: Material use, energy, water, waste water, exhaust air, noise, waste, handling of hazardous substances. A bluesign product may only bear this mark if at least 95 % of all product components have been certified by bluesign.
Green Shape is the VAUDE seal of approval for products that are manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. This includes the complete production cycle from development and production to maintenance and usability after use. The criteria for this are strict. The products must consist either of at least 90 percent organically grown cotton, recycled materials or the Tencel wood fibre. Furthermore, they must have been dyed with the environmentally friendly dyeing process VAUDE eColour or meet the world's strictest environmental textile standard Bluesign. VAUDE's goal is the best for man and nature.
